50% Carmenere / 35% Syrah / 15% Cabernet sauvignon
The Chono San Lorenzo represents the selection of the best barrels of the 2005 vintage of each grape variety used. Therefore the production is very limited, just 1.000 cases (12x750).
80% of the wine was kept in French oak barrels for 10 months which helped to underline the characteristics of soft ripe tannins, a great structure and a velvet finish.
The grapes were hand picked at several dates according to the ripening of the fruit. Cabernet sauvignon and Syrah were harvested during the two last weeks of April and the Carménère at the middle of May.
The wine is bottled unfiltered and was stored for three months before it was released.
